I see those who view profiling in this case to be objectionable trying to compare what we are involved in as some sort of action to prevent criminal activity. We are not trying to fight a criminal activities, we are trying to fight a war that has been declared on us, by people who are already in our country (and/or trying to get here). It is war, make no mistake about it, because radical Islam understands it all too well. It is a jihad against western civilization, not some street gang members stealing cars.
We must do everything that we can to win this war. I got the random search routine performed on me this morning at O'Hare. It didn't make anyone on my plane any safer, but I guess it made somebody worried about offending an identifiable group more comfortable about the rights of those who are not only at war with us, they are here among us.
