I believe Mike's exhibit has been shown more than once. His research was also published in the club magazine and the chips in question have been debated several times on this board.
Come on Don "not seeing a different one in several years is fairly persuasive (but not conclusive)" is hardly evidence to the contrary either.
Remember that the research (both past and recent) was not limited to examination of the color of the foil. Alignment, known sources of actual chips, chips only known used vs only known fresh out of the box (with a Borland label), BJ archives (existence or non-existence of notched samples), an ex-Borland employee no longer with us who sat there going blind lining up the hotstamps, chips obtained when casinos were open, chips which only surfaced well after casino closure appearing for sale in one of Borlands adverts etc etc, all contribute to the 99.9% Gene refers to.
