It's not the install, I do that all day long, it's the getting started entering all the chips again. I started out using dBase in the mid-90s, then lost interest. Now that I have the "right" software I need to just get started.
Recent projects included a web page that covered 25 years of the Hodag Invitational road rally. (up to year 7 or 8 now, scanning slides, photos, packets, entry forms) While I was doing that I found a few hundred pictures from a diabetes charity event that I used to work with. So they went up. Somewhere during that I made some moving panoramic pictures of the races, sailing and a scenic shot.
I had a request for a DVD of an AFS concert from 1989, so I was doing that for a week (of course side video projects caught me again, like transfer Sleuth and Last of Sheila to DVD)
Remember the show Lucky or Push Nevada? I saved every episode of both. Great Las Vegas and Nevada stuff. They need to be edited and copied to DVD. On hold.
Finally got NewsRover up and running, collecting Blues, Bootlegs, Zappa, Zydeco, Firesign, Freeburg and SRV.
Now I'm working on Christmas gift CDs for the annual "old farts" jam session and cataloging photos for the last 10 years, from SCCA road racing events.
I held back last week and only shot about 100 pictures of the Ferrari weekend at Road America, need to scan the photos. (playing with film for a weekend)
Orders for the real business are slow, but I have some to get caught up with...
Back to chips. I'm supposed to be making a trade list. I keep saying I'm going to do that some day, add all the WI, Elko and Fantasy chips I have around here. Some day?
I suppose I could crack the shrink wrap on the CA-Plus software, since it's been sitting next to the VHS collection at work since Feb.
Mostly busy doing nothing, that's the idea.
Did I mention that I work about 7 days a week during the Summer and cut back to 6 during the Winter? Now if any of these things were actually for profit, I'd be rich!
