The Chip Board King of Poker Championship II will start in 14 hours! If you are a Member & would like to play, E-Mail me for the password. Andy - Las Vegas
The 6 games we will play (2 weeks each) will be:
At the end of the 12 weeks whoever is 1st on the leaderboard will be The Chip Board King of Poker Champion AND they will play in the end of the month Poker Stars $530 buy in No Limit Hold'em tournament on Sunday, October 30th, 2005. The last one on July 31st paid $189,970 for 1st place!
The Chip Board King of Poker Champion will keep half of any money he wins in that tournament & the other remaining 8 players on the leaderboard after him will split the remaining 50%. He would then just transfer what the 8 had coming to their Poker Stars accounts.
There will be no final table tournament at the end of the 12 weeks. That will only be after The Chip Board Road to the WSOP each year.
What will be taken out each week ($45) for the $530 buy in tournament would break down as:
1st Place - $24
2nd Place - $14
3rd Place - $7
That comes to $540 & the winner will make an extra $10. Winners would transfer or mail me out a check for what they owe each week. The buy in will remain the same as we had for The Chip Board Road to the World Series of Poker which is $22 a tournament.
The Chip Board King of Poker Championship II is only open to current members.
As we have in the past, Greg, Jay & myself will be running The Chip Board King of Poker Championship II.
The link to The Chip Board King of Poker Championship II Web site I set up is below. The complete schedule can be found there.
Below is the scan of (shown front and back) The Chip Board King of Poker Championships and The Chip Board Road to the World Series of Poker tournament chip!
Greg, Jay and myself decided to have a chip made for the tournaments.
Thanks to Debby Meister for helping us design the chip and having to put up with three people instead of just one.
There were only 100 chips made as indicated on the chip (LTD 100) and they have engraved numbers. Engraved numbers adds another 75¢ to the cost of the chip, but it looks great!
Greg (number 3), Jay (number 2) and myself (number 28) each received a chip for coming up with the idea and putting up the money to have the chips made. Debby (number 5) received one and numbers 1 and 100 will go to the to be included in a frame of chips going into our building once we get it.
That leaves 94 chips and the ONLY way to get one of them will be to win a The Chip Board King of Poker Championships or a The Chip Board Road to the World Series of Poker tournament on Poker Stars. When you do, you can buy one for $5 postage included. If you win a 2nd tournament you can buy a 2nd chip and that will be the limit per person. When you do win a tournament and buy a chip you will have your choice of the remaining numbers. Since there is a limit of two and most who get them will want to display the chip front & back, I doubt there will be many, if any, for trade down the road. So, those of you who have been thinking about playing in the tournaments with us should give it a shot on Wednesday nights and give yourself a chance to get one of these chips. Andy - Las Vegas
