Each year since 1987 I've stayed at Harrah's L.V. I am a very low stakes gambler but for years we've ended each evening at one of the bars spilling quarters into a video poker machine. This year for the first time I realized that the machines have been reset to pay "6 & 5" (6 on a full house and 5 on a flush). I asked the bar tender when this happened and he said "the weekend of the Super Bowl--they changed all the video poker games (and also went to 6 & 5 for Black Jack)." Well I hope Harrah's suits are happy with the bottom line but I'll not be staying with them hereafter. I loved Harrah's--knew most of the old poker dealers...but it's across the street for me next year.
