...they got down to the final six & instead of playing it out & having a true winner, they made a six way deal! I can't see playing all that time & having a chance to win the tournament & then making a deal. It shows no heart. But, I guess that's how some want to do it. They did play it out so that they would have an "official" winner. I don't know who it was though & I really don't care.

Then in the last longer bet, it got down to the final three & they made a deal! I guess that they forgot that the contest was set up as a LAST LONGER BET!!! Another weak move as far as I'm concerned. I won't ever set up another last longer bet for the poker tournament. Let someone else put in the time & then have the last three split the money.

The winner of the last longer bet was also suppose to get one of the nice card markers (like the ones shown below) that Gene gave me for the winner. Since there was no true last longer winner because they made a deal, the card marker will go in a future auction.

All that aside...The Palms, Gene Trimble, Robert Pardue & Robert Thompson, along with others, all did a FANTASTIC job running the tournament.

Myself, Jay Sands, Steve Passalaqua, Greg Susong, Marc Shapiro (briefly ), Paul Donahue, Steve Bedo, Paul Sax, Bill Judge, Pete Sanders & a few others played in a no limit game like we had last year. We played for about 6 hours & had a great time! Andy - Las Vegas
