Elko, Nevada!
As far as being chipper friendly, they seemed to be…but what I found interesting (believe it or not) was how the motorist treated the pedestrians. If you’re walking down the sidewalk and act like you’re just semi-interested in what is across the street, all the cars hit their brakes so you can cross…no matter where you are! That would never happen in California!! LOL! You have to make a serious commitment to crossing AND make eye contact with the motorists and beg to cross…and that’s in the crosswalks! LOL!
Anyway, Red Lion Casino shown below along with their chips…..intersting that the Red Lion in Elko has metal inlay chips while the Red Lion in Winnemucca doesn’t…(did I post those chips in the other thread?) I also got a couple Cowboy Poetry Gathering chips from two different years..not sure what that is but I got ‘em!
We then headed down to the old part of town to find Stockman’s Casino. I picked up their current house chip and inquired about the old Stockman’s metal inlays…as usual, I didn’t talk to anyone that new anything….the scan of their current chip next to the old Stockman’s chips shows just how nice the old ones were….(sigh)
