The Victoria has smartened up their poker room and "upped the ante"
Maybe they think theyve got competition from the Gutshot club. These 2 places are Londons biggest poker rooms with about 10 tables each in permanent use.

Prior to today I had only been aware of the daily £100 buyin no-limit tourneys and the perpetual £40 sit and goes which typically paid £3000 and £200 respectively for winners.

Now they have a big weekly tourny starting tonight. £3000 buy-in. 100 to 200 players expected. Top prize guaranteed £250,000 ($450,000) if not more.

Seems like they copied the Palms Players reaching the final tables of these tournys will get one of the card protectors shown below. It doesnt scan too well due to the thick acrylic finish. They are sharp black and gold in color, about the size and thickness of a silver strike in a case and about the same weight. Very nice. I have a couple available. I want $20 shipped each.
