Dear Chippers:

I’m here to ask a favor of you. As you may or may not know, this is the second year I’ve volunteered to be chairperson of our Building Fund table at the convention in ( As “Mr. Splash Bar” ) puts it, 19 days.

Due to medical circumstances and appointments beyond my control, the next 2 to 8 weeks will be very difficult for me to arrange my time as I would love to.

It appears now that I may have to forgo the convention in part or even it’s entirety, much to my dismay.

So, my request is very simple. I need someone to step up and volunteer to co - chair the table with me. Keep in mind, if you decide to accept, there is a VERY strong possibility that you will have to follow through on your commitment. I’m going to do everything in my power to be there, but there is the very real possibility that I won’t be able to.

Here are a few things the job will require of you. (If I am unable to be there.)
(1) You will need a cashbox for the tons of money we’ll be receiving for our building.
(2) You’ll need to be there at the start ( Just to be sure the first volunteers show for duty. ) and the end of each day. (To meet with Mr. Q to turn in the monies collected.)
(3) I have a list of very capable volunteers who will be helping in one and/or two hour shifts. So that leaves you pretty much free most of the day to do your thing also.
(4) The final thing you’ll need is a pleasing personality such as mine. You’ll get to meet all the great chippers, because sooner or later, everyone drops by the Building Fund table.
