Interesting question, Jim. Although eBay has no say in how auctions get paid, I would imagine that it could specify that certain stupulations would be against their "rules". I would think that such a stipulation would have the effect of suppressing the bidding, though.

Of course, you could always negotiate that type of payment arrangement after the auction results have been decided.
