I have made some updates to my article on Carl Osborne counterfeit chips following recent finds and my previous 'discussions' with Jim Perlowski.
I was fortunate to have been put in contact with Bill Ludlow, a casino executive at the Castaways when they closed. He re-called the chips in use, including the oversize sports book, and was able to provide me with some of the final chips in use, including a blue $500, in a different color, and with different characteristics to the chip I knew to have been made for Osborne. Recently, I discovered examples of the oversize $500 and $1000 which also differed from the chips I believed to have been made for Osborne. It has been confirmed that all 4 oversize chips I show were made at BJ. I am now reasonably convinced that my facts on these chips are now correct although I concede we will never know with 100% certainty as the BJ records no longer exist.
I also discovered a 'used' Del Webbs Mint $100 which matched the $500 I already had. I have added that with my conclusions to date on that chip.
Remember, as I said before, this is ongoing research and I am still looking for any other examples of the chips in the article which could give clues.
