Henry Brent Co., the new owners of the Lady Luck have done some great things downtown. I knew this was coming but I was shocked to see how nice it looks on 3rd Street, as you walk from Fremont towards the Lady Luck.
Hogs and Heifers bar, a slot bar called Cuba, a blues and jazz bar called Blue, Celebrities and a steak& seafood restaruant called Triple George Grill. All will be open very soon .
Ron and I ate at Triple George Grill last night. It was a test run . The food and drinks were fabulous. If you like crab cakes and mussels for appetizers you won't find better. ( The meat and seafood will be flown in fresh daily )
If any of you knew about Tadishes in San Francisco , Triple George has a close menu and the food is as good or better.
It is a non smoking restaurant. There is a great separate smoking lounge for those who smoke.
I am originally from Monterey Ca. and have never tasted better on the whole peninsula. If you have an extra 100 to spend on a dinner for two , I highly recommend Triple George .
Make sure when in town for the convention you take a stroll down Third St to see the great changes on "The Block" It was great to see lights where the old Trolley Stop was.
I love downtown !!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait until they renovate the Lady Luck after seeing what they have done to Third St.
