I would like to point out, there are 2 seperate entities here.
The Slabfree Club was formed by roughly 200 Club and Non-Club members dedicated to keep slabbing out of our hobby.
The Slabfree Pledge is 468 Club and non-Club members who are willing to go the extra mile to keep slabbing out of our hobby. Sort of like the religious right. We want to penalize anyone that even thinks they might want to slab a chip.
Some of us belong to both.
Together we raised several $1,000 to fight the evil empire. The Force was with us. We beat Goliath.
The convention that year was a fun time at the Slabfree table. We had so many volunteers to man the table, all could not do it.
Maybe seeing me stroll around in my "Ban The Slabs" sandwich board was the draw.
We ran one slabber out 2 days early.
I have no doubt we can come together and do it again.
I am not asking for Slabree Club members at this time. Lets see where these guys are going.
Slabbing Companies are banned from the convention.
Chip dealers are banned from showing slabbed chips.
If I remember right only 1 club member is on the "Do Not Buy From" List, Henry Garrett. We ask all pledge signers to honor their pledge.
We are taking signups for the Pledge.
Every name counts for us, when it comes to the fight.
