I am seriously considering buying a laptop computer because recently I seem to be on the road for work a lot and as a result I don't get to check my email very often, With the dawn of wireless Internet and many, many, many free hotspots I figure that with a laptop I can hit a free hotspot while on the road and get my email or Instant Message with the office.

Now my dilema is I don't what I should buy I've looked at both PCs (Compaq, Dell, HP) and Apple computers (iBook and Powerbook) and I'm not sure which is the better to buy. Any help that you guys (and gals) can give would be appreciate.
