The new location is a couple of miles from downtown Reno, out by the current Atlantis and Peppermill. I believe it's a good development and the beginning of a Reno "Strip", away from the rundown and neglected downtown. I stay at Peppermill frequently and they are usually about 90% booked one weekdays an full on weekends. It's a good area with a better traffic situation than downtown, as well.

The area around the river near downtown could have been developed into a new "tourist friendly" casino area, but I don't think the money will every be found to do it right. The Reno Strip has possibilities.
