I may be the last person on earth to find out about this, but if you travel a lot, a data card for your laptop is awesome! I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop and today I got a Sony Ericsson GC83 Data Card and it works great! My cellular provider is Cingular, but I'm sure the other big carriers offer something similar. The monthly charge of $80 is pretty steep, but it's a write off for me and I'd much rather spend it on something useful than give it to our rich Uncle.

Right now I'm at our cabin in the middle of nowhere and still able to surf the net.... TOO COOL!!!
