WGY sure brings back old memories for me being raised in Glens Falls. I do remember during the times of having to use the knobs on the TV and wait for what seemed forever to finally see the test pattern--The days of Howdy Doody and Kate Smith and. of course, Lew Thez and Georgous George (anyone remember them?)

I was one of the few lucky kids to have TV in the late 40's where we hauled that huge 10" set to school so that everyone could see the Truman inaugration on TV.
