I thought Anon's image was higher res than the photo and therefore didnt think it was created from it. Looks more like its a scan of a color picture rather than the chip.

IMO this does not add up regardless of what one makes of the pictures.
Seller starts by saying he knew nothing about the chip when he listed it, other than looking at ebay which would tell him the average price for a $5 chip across the board is $10. Decides by chance that reserve should be at least twice book value of an uncancelled example.
Claims to have received an offer higher than the reserve he set yet he went ahead and listed it anyway.
Cant find any info about the chip before he lists it but manages to find this BB straight away after listing.
Alters description to say "Sold As Is" and removes paypal option in his description (but logo remains).
Posts on this board from an IP address 2000 miles away from the stated item location in the auction.
You decide
IMO anyone who is going to pay $1900+ for any such chip should be asking all these questions and having the chip xrayed with or without pictures or any other evidence.
