Convention Poker Tournament

We have 173 pre-paids for the tournament to date, thanks to Bruce and Mary Ann Massey. By far the biggest tournament to date. The only reason this tournament can happen is because of members like Bruce, Mary Ann, and Robert Pardue.

The cut off for pre-paids is Friday July 1.
We will take some entries and alternates on the night of the tournament if available.
Everyone will need a Palms Club card to play.
If you have a Palms Club Card bring it. If you have an existing Club Card and have mis-placed it, please stop at the Club Booth and get a replacement.

If you have never had a card:
Go to Palms.com and apply for one.
Stop at the Club booth and get one before the Tournament
We will also have cards and apps at the tournament sign up but you will have to take the time to fill out the application.
If you have ever had a card we can not issue new ones or replacements at the tournament sign up.

Robert Thompson III, director of Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown, former assistant director of the WSOP, and former director of tournaments for Hollywood Park will be directing the tournament.

I need to make a plea for my dealers.
There will be a minimum of 23 dealers to start the tournament. There is $5 per entry built in the entry fees for the dealers. This is way below todays standard hold on tournaments for dealers.
I need to outside hire at least 15 professional tournament dealers.
I would hope the winners will remember the dealers with a small contribution to the toke pool.

Good luck to all and I hope the Poker God grants us a good tournament. grin
