Stu, If you weren't interested in buying the program anywhere near that price, then why on earth even bring up a discount? How much did you think I would possibly come down in price??
As I've stated many times on this chipboard, even though I was involved with the development of this product, I am not the owner of the program. Carlisle Development makes the product and owns the rights. I am a distributor. I do not get the programs for free, I pay for them. I get a royalty for my past and future work. Not that those facts matter at all. They don't.
I'm sorry that they're not high tech enough to suit you. Carlisle Development is not Microsoft. The only downloads are for the upgrades and service packs.
The program comes pre-packaged in a hard shell DVD case. Along with that I put in an additional bonus cd with 4,000 chip scans, which I make myself.
If you'd like to avoid paying any shipping charges at all, come to my house to pick it up in person. Or you can buy it from me at the convention. You can always buy it dorectly from Carlisle development and go up to $4.50 shipping, but then again you wouldn't get the bonus scan cd, or be entitled to additional bonus scan cd's in the future.
But then again, it sounds like you're looking for a program thats much cheaper. There are quite a few cheap ones for you to choose from. Don't worry about the old addage "you get what you pay for". On the other hand, I'm sure you could get by just fine using Xcel for a list.
