Despite the ratings the buffets at Circus or Excaliber are not that bad. They just have had a reputation for years as being a cattle trough. The buffet at boardwalk IS that bad though. Boardwqlk is next to Monte Carlo.

It is not a buffet but the food at Ellis Island is in the same price range and is very good.

I do agree that paying $30-40 for a buffet is ridiculous. I did notice a nice Sunday champagne brunch (at Ballys I believe)and it sounded really great. Then I saw the price - $58! Never mind.
