From a recent article in Pravda (truth):

• Gaming in Russia is controlled by the "Federal Agency for Physical Culture and Sport". I don't believe the USA has any equivalent Federal agency.

• Slot machines can be found in many stores and public places and even on the streets. They are referred to as "slot pillars".
