I was in a casino and took a stack of roulettes and ran them out to the car. Later when cashing in a Video Poker TITO at the cashiers cage, a pit boss came up to me and asked if I had been playing roulette. I said yes and that I had won a few hundred dollars. He asked if I had any of the roulettes on me. I said no, that I had cashed them all.
Two week later, while playing 21, Security comes up to me and tells me to pick up my chips. Escorts me to the "Back Room" and tells me they have me on tape sticking a stack in my pocket. I told them that was my cell phone. Well, they tell me to either return the roulettes (which they spell wrong on the statement) or be banned from the casino. If I ever return, I would be arrested for trespassing. As Security was walking me out, I stopped to cash in my chips and I stopped by the Players Club to redeem my Cash-Back that I had earned. As I walked up to the desk, the phone rang and it was Security telling the clerk NOT to give me any of the money. I cashed out my chips and left.
Nine months later, the casino was still sending me promotional letters and since my birthday was coming up, they had some gifts for me. I went to the casino, picked up my gifts and Cash-Back (which they gave me this time - surprise) and left. I went back a few days later and the Players Club told me that my address wasn't in the computer any more and that they will take it now. I said "no thanks, that's okay" and left as Security was coming up. Left the casino and have never been back.
I think it is much easier to just take a couple of chips than a whole stack as suggested.
That's my story... and I'm sticking to it.
