If you are only after one or two chips pocket them first and then take a handful of about ten chips and drop some of them on the floor. Pick them up and if they ask where are the missing chips tell them they are on the floor somewhere and they can keep them as a tip if they find them.

When getting 20 or more chips always have an excuse ready up prior to going to the table such as, " I was going to the cage to cash them in.", or " I was going to play them at another table."

Never, never talk intelligent at the table, act as much like a tourist as possible.
