...give back roulette chips at a casino? It happened to me last night at Belterra in Indiana. I was trying to get a yellow chip from table "B" for Mr. Susong's chip guide. Well, I thought I was slick and pocketed four chips lost the rest and moved on. Later on, I'll say an hour later, I walked by that table again and was summoned over by a pit boss and the dealers. ....being strip searched in front of a crowd is no fun..... Just kidding!! I was asked if I had played the yellow chips earlier in the evening. I reluctantly said "Yes". I was told I could not cash them at the cage. I mentioned I knew that and wanted to keep them as I collected chips. Wrong thing to say. The game is on hold, the two dealers and now a second casino guy are asking for the chips back. I know I was getting a little red faced by now. I reached into my pocket and as luck would have it one roulette and a house chip came out. "Where are the other three", they asked? I said I gave some to a friend . I gave the one chip to the dealers as a tip and they let it slide. I was afraid to play roulette the rest of the night. How far will casinos track you down for a missing roulette?
