Hi there!
I was loaned these coins to scan by a friend who was told that I might be able to find out some information about them. This one is 23mm across. It has the words "Pikes Peak Gold" around the top and "Twenty D." around the bottom. In the centre, there is a pic of a hill with the wording "Denver R" underneath.
The other side has a bird in the middle, it seems to be a US eagle, but only carrying 3 arrows and a laurel wreath in it's talons. It has the words "Clark Gruber & CO." with the date 1860. The coins feel solid and heavy, with some wear, so if they were plated, I guess it would show. The other coin will be in the next posts.
Any info/value would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Andy
