Wow! $300 to $500 is a bit steep. If the chip was an $800+ chip (just guessing) I would pay $300 - $400 if there was just a drill hole. However, I think the piece in the scan has a large chunk glued back on (and badly done)

Because of the broken piece, $100 for me. Now if Whelan could restore it ..........
