I'm not suggesting that the chip graders should be anonymous. What I'm saying is that you have a chip that is graded by the first company and receives a grade, it should be removed from the acrylic holder and submitted to the second company. If the grading is accurate, the grades should be nearly the same.
Other hobbies have thrived with legitimate grading services, also. Discussion boards like this one will weed out any bogus companies that try to start a grading company in their basement.
When the baseball card hobby had a few companies that started grading cards, the hobby went through the roof.
