In every hobby there will be a few who let greed or the fast buck cloud their judgement. If you are dealing with someone who is knowledgable and will back up the sale then I don't think you will get burned. I have been taken advantage of and no doubt will be again, but each time you gain a little insight to the integrity of the dealer or the person that is selling you the chip. If he does you wrong and the next person, then the word leaks out and he is finished. Most people who are driven by greed usually are not content with just one time. If you are buying a high end chip from someone with no history or feedback then I would be proceeding with great caution. If the Chip price guide lists only a couple known in mint condition don't you ask yourself how did I get so lucky as to be the only one to get the chip? Do you begin to smell the rat?? How about the dealer who says only 10 were found but in the next month you see a 50 go through Ebay. Buyer beware.... is all I'm saying.... by the way I love old Nevada chips....
