"In the poker world, we refer to them as lammers."
I've been in the "poker world" since 1960 and never heard that term for chips actually worth $500 in the year issued. But I learn something everyday.
"Now, why did you wait until the last 4 hours of a 10-day auction to tell me all of this??!! :)"
I have never bought or sold on ebay. I do click links at times to take a look. I chicked yours this AM.
"The WPO chips are all 1st and 2nd year."
They were all dumped on the market. In fact there was a big stink about the 1st years, when a long time tourney employee stole some and sold to collectors. She paid the price. But it was part of the reason the rest were dumped. I believe one person got the bulk of year one. He offered them to me in bulk. I passed.
I also saw a lot of both years WPO chips along with the 3,000 WSOP chips soon to be dumped, I mentioned in my 1st post. Both WPO and WSOP from those years had the same directors.
The only problem I saw was the use of "Very Rare" for common chips.
