Thanks for the information, Gene. I listed these to the best of my knowledge, and if I have made any mistakes, I certainly apologize to anyine interested in buying them.
Most collectors on eBay are not chip club members and most likely won't be at the convention (this will be my first year, and I've been collecting and selling for over 10 years), and those of us who don't regularly go to shows don't know how common these might be at dealer tables.
In the poker world, we refer to them as lammers. I know they're not actually lammers, but among poker players, that's the most common reference to buy-in chips, so I use both terms in my auctions.
I didn't know about the red stickers. Very interesting!
Now, why did you wait until the last 4 hours of a 10-day auction to tell me all of this??!! :) I could have used some of this stuff!
The WPO chips are all 1st and 2nd year. There are 2 buy-in chips, a tournament 1000 and 5000, and there are 5 "hearts" chips (red, green, white, black and purple) and 2 "spades" chips (black and purple). I purchased these from a WPO worker a long time ago, and I've never seen most of the hearts chips on eBay. Nor have I ever seen the T1000 and T5000 on eBay, and I look EVERY day.
Thanks again for your assistance. I really do learn a lot by reading this board.
