Here's some information on Lauren Susong from the Miss Kansas web site. I imagine as soon as they get it together they'll have a special page for her.
"Lauren Susong has spent a lot of time singing and dancing her way through Wellington High School. She has been earning top ratings at state and regional music competitions, performing in school choirs, the Wichita State University Summer Choir and the Pioneer League Honor choir.
Susong will share her vocal talent at the Miss Teen Kansas Pageant when she sings and Italian aria "Per La Gloria D'adorarvi."
Her interest in dancing has been going on for the past 11 years while she studied ballet and jazz dance. The singing and dancing came in handy while she performed for high school dance squad the Crimson Dancers. She also used those talents in a production of Fiddler on the Roof at the Crown Uptown Dinner Theater in Wichita plus productions at Music Theater for Young People, Wellington Community Theater and Wichita Children's Theater and Dance Center.
She has even taken on the job of director for a high school and junior high school play production.
Her vocal and dance talents are used in her volunteer work. She has been a cantor at her church, leads the children's choir at church and teaches dance to young girls.
She spends many hours working with the children in the Catholic Youth Organization.
Susong is 16 and lives in Wellington. She is the daughter of Greg and Carol Susong. She has a brother Robert who is 12."
