I hope I don't bore anyone, but I have to brag a little about my daughter. Tonight she won the title of Miss Teen Kansas 2005.

I am so very proud of her. She has worked so hard for this and it all paid off tonight. This contest is part of the Miss America Organization. She will represent Kansas in August at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Contest in Orlando, FL. Not only did she win the contest tonight, but she won two additional awards for Most Outstanding Talent and Most Outstanding Interview.

It was an amazing evening. After the contest she was whisked away to the press conference. It is so cool to see my "little poo" who I now have to admit is a very mature young woman answer questions from the press and handle herself like such an adult. It is going to be quite a year!
