In April I "won" a 500.00 hard rock chip on ebay from a Las Vegas dealer. Unfortunately the check was cashed and the chip never arrived. He has a good ebay record, but apparantly did not send the chip certified or registered mail, just first class, for which I paid extra. The post office says this item cannot be traced. My general feeling is that I am out 500.00+, unles anyone has any suggestions. Mainly, is the burden of verifying certified mail on the buyer instead of the seller? This is the first chip I have ever lost in the mail, too bad it was a high end item!
