Don; I use "Microsoft's Picture It" software for editing scanned chip images used in my catalogs. What's nice about using software to rotate and sharpen images instead of manually positioning chips on the scanner glass is that you can put 20 chips on the glass without being too concerned about any of them being "straight". From that one large multiple chip scan, you can then crop whatever single chip from that group and do whatever you want with it. Enlarge, rotate, sharpen, adjust contrast and brightness ... even fill in holes!
