My grandfather, Samuel Kaplan, was the head of the Math Department at Erasmus and probably taught several of those alumni. BTW you left out the Torre brothers, Joe (Manager of the Yankees) and I believe his brother was Frank. Frank, both my father and uncle told me, was the better ball player in High School.
