Hi there! Soory to be gone so long, but things happen. First, I'd like to thank you all for the prayers, kind words and emails while I was taking my extended nap. Your thoughtfulness helped me pull through this very difficult time. In the coming days I will be having a procedure called cryosurgery, where the doctors will insert a long metal rod into my liver and then circulate liquid nitrogen through the rod in order to freeze (and God willing, kill) the tumor on my liver. I hope that after this operation Chemotherapy won't last too long as I'm planning to be at the convention, where I plan on meeting all my great chipper friends. I know for sure I will NOT be having this done here in Atchison, my Oncologist suggests either Kansas City or Omaha.

Second, the name the tumor contest. I'd like to thank all who submitted names. My wife, Brooke, was in charge of picking the winner. She had no clue who submitted what names as the only info she had were membership numbers and the names submitted. She did say that the names made her laugh and thinks that you all are a bunch of caring people. The winners, thats right WINNERS , are: for his Anna Nicole submission and the funny reasoning behind it.. Mr. JIM SHAFFER!!! For her Cheech & Chong submission, (Brooke took it as "lets smoke these things and get rid of 'em") Ms. JULIE BROWN. If you'd both please send me your address I'll get your prize packs out to you.
