Joe's message had several replies, but since Joe's suggestion was on a message board that was outside official Club visibility, Joe was advised to make a similar post on the Club's message board.

Joe did so that same day (24 April) and that post was responded to that same day by Club Co-Convention Chairperson, Jim Steffner.

However, here is Jim Steffner's reply:

"Sounds like a good idea. There are more and more of our members who are issuing their own chip. Do I have a volunteer to get this contest rolling??? Joe, all you'de need to do is get the word out on the two boards, put an article in the next issue of the club magazine due out in late June or early July, and set up the display at the show. Willing to help??"

Joe Pavlik's response was:

Since that time, I have not heard anything publicly mentioned on this subject until this thread. However, since the time of Joe's first post I was contacted by several Club members asking if I knew anything about a possible contest at the Club Convention for personal chips. Having heard nothing I decided to ask Joe.

Using Joe's email address (chgojoes@yahoo.com) I asked him what the status was on his suggestion and the response of Jim Steffner.

Joe advised (on 11 May) that it was being worked.

I've not seen or heard anything since.
