"14. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic! and you turn around to go and get it."
Recently a co-worker asked me for suggestions on what to get her grandmother for her birthday.
When I heard that the lady was 65 and living alone I suggested that she get her the smallest cell phone that she could find and a lanyard so her grandmother could wear it around her neck.
If seniors are lucky enough to still be mobile, and have a bad fall, it is very unlikely that they will be within reach of a phone.
I'm only 63, but I never go to bed without my cell phone within easy reach. You never know when the first problem will appear.
