Ah, the Strip before sunrise!! I'm normally an early riser anyway, and when we're in Las Vegas for the convention I can't sleep past 5:00 a.m. There's no better time to make the hike up and down the Strip, hitting all the casinos and watching the drunks stumbling home and hearing the shouts from a craps table that's been going since the night before. The temperature on the street is pleasant and you can actually cross the street without running.

You see the most interesting people at that hour and like Tammy says, the cages aren't ever busy. The only problem is that the Player's Clubs aren't normally open for the slot card collectors and the cleaning crew may have just swept away any orphans from the tops of the machines.

I can't wait until August for my daily morning strolls.
