Stu, Yup, I'm female and usually have no problems but the majority of the cage people I deal with are female and I have a few of my own tricks to make friends with the cage people in Vegas.. my favorite trick is to go at 4 am - no crowds and the cashiers are bored. I approach the cage with a smile, a $5 bill in the left hand and a few $1 bills in the right. I keep a happy attitude, tell them I'm going to be their next "pain-in-the-butt" and explain that I'm a collector. The cashier usually takes it from there and starts digging (remember they're bored at this hour and sometimes the head cashier is standing there watching too, so they have to be nice to me). I have found a nice, clean joke to tell while they're digging will result in a smile and pulling out more racks. If they accomplish what I need, those $1 bills become theirs (sometimes an extra $5 for those that even head for the vault without me even asking and bringing back an armload of "treasures"). I don't go to Vegas every week, but have found it possible to try to remember someone that has been extra helpful on my next trip, look for them and quite often they will remember me too. Then off to the $1.99 early-bird breakfast with everyone a winner!! Happy hunting!!
