Vic's not actually reading the replies posted here to his offers to rip off people on this board, so it may help to email a copy of your responses to him (as I'll do with this one).

I've heard from two collectors in the past day alone - two new additions to the "VIC-tim" list - including one who wishes (for now, anyway) to remain anonymous. We ran a "sting" operation in which the anonymous collector made a trade offer to Vic, but intended to hang on to his chip until Vic's chip arrived first - at which time the trade would be completed as agreed. It turns out that Vic's chip never arrived; it was another one that was "lost in the mail." The ironic thing was that Vic sent the anonymous collector an email saying that his chip never arrived. The chip never arrived because it was never sent - and Vic's chip in trade never arrived either. So, at the very least, the anonymous collector didn't lose anything to Vic's scam.

Here's my concern: Vic's offering more "trades" very shortly after already being thoroughly trashed after yesterday's scam offer. He's either incapable of understanding why it's wrong to rip off people, or he's doing it on purpose. Either way, it would be completely unadvisable to make any deal with him, and as we discussed at Jim Gagnon's get-together today, it's generally a good idea to warn new collectors before they get ripped off rather than after.
