It started with the old Moulin Rouge $25 chips. They just fascinated me, and made me wonder about their history. I think part of it is the fact that I can't afford the whole versions of most of the chips, so this is a way that I can afford it. There's probably more reasons but I'm on too much Vicodin to think of them right now (recovering from surgery).
