• For early members of the Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club who are early arrivals to this year’s CC & GTCC convention, you’re invited to participate in a day-long private affair that will allow you to meet old chip friends as well as newcomers to our hobby, and to trade chips and tokens. Or buddy up to various chip dealers who just might give you a first peek at a precious piece of clay that you’ve never seen before.

• This private event is being held in Diamond Mae’s Ballroom at Arizona Charlie’s on Decatur on Monday, August 1, 2005.

• Starting time will be 10:00 a.m. You must be a current subscriber to Chip Chat or a member in good standing of the CC & GTCC to attend this event. You must show your ID and membership card at the door. Bring your traders, but only bring what you can carry.

• At 3:00 p.m. an auction sale of United States casino chips will be conducted. About 150 auction lots to be sold, comprised of 100 rarities from Nevada, some of California’s finest cardroom pieces, oldies and goodies from Montana, Idaho, and classic Illegals. Action catalogues will be available by June 30th. If you wish to reserve a catalogue, give Doug Saito/Chip Chat a call at 619-296-3502. You can bid by mail or by phone if you can’t attend.

• At 6:00 p.m. Chip Chat has donated the showroom to the members of the Las Vegas chipsters club, with its president Bill Judge presiding.

• What a great way to kick off this year’s CC & GTCC Convention. If you need lodging, Chip Chat has reserved a block of rooms at Arizona Charlie’s for three nights – Sunday, July 31; Monday, August 1, and Tuesday, August 2. Room rates are $45.00 a night, which does not include room taxes or surcharges. You must reserve your room by June 10, 2005. Call the reservations department at Arizona Charlie’s at 800-342-2695 and ask for the Chip Chat room rate.
