Fran, I was in Venice in August of 2003.We made a reservation for a hotel on Lido to be near the casino which I was told is open in the summer.After checking in we were told that the casino on Lido had not been open for 7-8 years. I had to go to the casino on the main island [scary at night] to get my chips.
