Besides my chip, shown is a scan from a deck of cards. The cards are from the Flint Club.
Besides the obvious resemblence, the chip was delivered to the T.B. Rayl Co in Detroit, MI.(the same area as the cards). The Rayl company was NOT a nationwide store. It handled local business.
From what is stated on the cards, the Flint Club was a private club for industry executives (I assume automotive executives).
Now, unfortunately, the cards are from 1951 while the chip is from 1928. However, that doen't mean the Flint Club was not around in 1928. Also, the slight differences in the appearance of the coach might be attributable to the 23 year difference, The symbol may have been updated.
I think the fact that both the cards and chip are from the Detroit/Flint area and both have virtually the same picture, cinches it.
Good enough for TGT?
