a nay sayer, however, based on the scan I suspect that what you have is a chip that someone left on the dash of their car, or on the console for many sunny days.
At first blush, it appears that the inlay was printed without any red ink, as all of the red ink printing is gone. However, you have to look a little deeper and consider first, what was the base color on the inlay? Chances are the inlay was white and was printed to with red, blue and gold ink.
It was not likely blue, using white, red and gold ink, or red and using blue, white and gold ink.
So, if the inlay was white, then why is it not white where the red ink was not printed and why is it not white where the stars would not have been printed onto at all? And then, why are the white parts all yellow?
Sun bleaching fully explains this. Reds do not hold up to the sun at all. White paper (the inlay) turns yellow (i.e., newspapers). As for the two little red spots... Is it possible that dirt (table jam) may have covered those spots reducing the amount of exposure to the sun?
But hey, it's still worth a buck!
You home yet?
