open the window get some fresh air take a deep breath THEN CHUCK THE DARN THING OUT THE WINDOW and get a new one 
no really i have no idea but im doing the same thing today bought a new one cause mine has its problems too so it was easier to get a new one and start over plus its been about 5 years anyway
