A have a few questions about drilled chips. I am new to collecting so these questions may seem stupid.

1. Why are chips drilled and did the casino drill them or someone else? I mean, why wouldn't they just destroy them?
2. Are drilled chips worth less then undrilled chips? Do you find drilled chips harder to sell then undrilled ones, or does the rarity of a chip come into play.
