There's a definite "art" to removing the hot-stamp cancels. I find that Q-Tips work best. Use lots of them, and use pure acetone from a paint store. These chips have lots of the gold stamp to remove, so you have to dip the Q-Tip, wipe across the inlay portion, toss the Q-Tip, and do it again. Keep the acetone off the clay portion, and try not to transfer any of the gold onto the clay base material. I use 4-5 Q-Tips for each side. It's a time consuming process but works well when you get it down.
